Jeff Deitering was born and raised in rural Iowa. Jeff graduated from West Harrison Community Schools and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. In addition to authoring the Hook and Patch Mystery Series, Jeff works as a civil engineer in the aviation industry. Jeff’s short stories and novels all include elements of his small town, big town, and city experiences – even the ringing of a Taco Bell bell. Jeff currently resides with his wife and five cats in Lawrence, Kansas.
